"Lekeland1 " is an indoor playpark for kids 0-12 year.
It is full of fun activities, with modern playconstructions, huge airfilled toys, balanceboard,
minicarcircuit, ballroom(30 000 balls!), birthday room, cafeteria and more!
Young or old – there’s something for everyone at Vitensenteret Innlandet, in the middle of Gjøvik.
Families come here to play, cooperate, share experiences, and ask questions about the world around us.
Visitors can try being a shop owner, logging wood in the forest, building a house on our construction site, or
being a weather forecaster on the TV screen.
The Hall is the world’s largest subterranean auditorium and can only be found 120 metres underground. Time spent exploring this hockey arena and watching the local Gjovik Mammuts will wrap you in exhilaration meant for all travelers - hockey lovers or not. Thanks to the cavern hall, Gjøvik was voted as one of the Top 58 European Hockey Towns in 2018 and 2017 by Flight Network.

This museum’s operations stretch across the entire length of lake Mjøsa. The museum documents and presents the history of the local people and landscape. A number of major family events, theme days, historical walks, exhibits, concerts and historical plays are held in a range of unique historical settings linked to the museum on an annual basis. The Norwegian Forest Museum has a national responsibility for presenting the history of hunting, trapping, fishing, forestry and forest industry. With more than 100 000 visitors annually, the museum is one of the largest in all of Norway.
Be sure to visit the museum's new exhibition - The Fantastic Tree. An exhibition presenting the growth of a tree and how the photosynthesis is the foundation of all life.
The Norwegian Railway Museum is a museum for children. Norway's shortest railway line is just a few hundred metres long, and a trip on the pellets-fired steam train is a highlight for many visitors. Leikvangen station and the mini train are in the middle of the park and are a firm favourite with children. In the play area, children can use their imagination as they play with trains. The model locomotive Urskog is ready to depart and everyone can have a go at being an engine driver on the train simulator.

The most scenic view of Lake Mjøsa is available on the paddle steamer Skibladner on a beautiful summer's day.
Her maiden voyage was in August 1856, making her the world’s oldest preserved paddle steamer still in timetabled service.
Just 10 minutes’ walk from the centre of Gjøvik, next to Hovdetun youth hostel, is the alpine skiing slope Hovdebakken, which is open every evening during the skiing season. The slope is 380 metres long with two runs, a lift and an elevation of 85 metres.
